Spotlight on South Padre Island

South Padre Island is a long barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico off the southernmost part of Texas. There are more than 700 RV spots between Isla Blanca Park, South Padre Island KOA, and Andy Bowie Park.

Whether gazing at a beautiful sunset over Laguna Madre, deep-sea fishing, parasailing, hiking, bird-watching, scuba diving, golfing or simply sun-bathing on the soft white sand beach, this long, narrow barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico offers the ocean-, sun- or recreation-bound vacationer a haven from the daily grind.

Isla Blanca Park is located at the southernmost tip of South Padre Island and boasts nearly 600 RV sites. The site extends over one mile of clean, white beach and offers numerous waterfront recreational facilities, boat ramps, and Gulf view RV sites.

South Padre Island KOA is accessible to RVs up to 98 feet long and boasts themed parties, sunset socials, fishing, and a pool that is open year-round. On-site amenities include the Pier 19 Restaurant and Bar, Osprey Fishing Trips, a children’s playground, and a pavilion.

Andy Bowie Park is located on the northern end of South Padre Island town limits, next to the Laguna Madre Nature Trail. The Nature Trail and Park are a must for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers. Just north of the park campers will find a beach access road which opens up to twenty miles of beach, as well as opportunities for horseback riding.
